Properties: Colorless or yellowish and transparent liquid, mp －1.5℃, bp 225℃ or 106℃ at 2.0 kP, relative density 1.063 g/cm3 (20/20℃), refractivity 1.4415, fp 93℃. Easily soluble in alcohols, ethers and other common organic solvents, slightly soluble in water. Decomposes very easily in alkaline solutions.
Hazards: Low toxicity, LD50 3.2 g/kg (orally in rats). Strongly irritates eyes, skin and mucosa, hence well close the operated equipments, aerate the working sites and wear personal protecting devices. Rinse completely when the human body contacts this product.
Application： Mainly used as agrochemical intermediate, also for producing perfumes.
